MUSEUM ARTIFACT ON DISPLAY Visit the West Parry Sound District Museum on Tower Hill to view this authentic 70+ year old drum from the Marching Band of the Algonquin Regiment.
The regiment was formed from volunteers in Northern Ontario, including men from West Parry Sound District.
During World War II and as part of the 4th Canadian Armoured Divison, the Algonquins saw service in the liberation of France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Until September, the Museum is open 9am-7pm Monday through Friday and 10am-5pm Saturday & Sunday. See you there! |
